It is really nice, when as part of writing this blog, local people ask you to promote their business, event or in this case an acoustic folk band.  We love an opportunity to celebrate all things local.

WolfNote are an acoustic folk and roots quintet from Berkshire comprising  multi-instrumentalist Mike,  violinist and vocalist Ceri, Gill on guitar, vocals and dulcimer, and cellist and vocalist Bex. Sacha Mayhew percussionist has recently joined the band.

They play a lively blend of originals and covers using string and vocal harmonies. Their sound is unique and hard to place in a genre, a bit like American folk with strings similar to the Beatles, maybe a bit of Fleetwood Mac thrown in.

Despite  looking inexplicably cross on stage people seem to like their warm, enveloping, sound.  They have won The Graham Steel showcase artist award and a slot at Henley Festival through BBC Introducing. WolfNote would just like to say that they are not sisters and Mike is not their dad.
